Sophokles Tasioulis

Sophokles Tasioulis

Chief Executive Officer · Co-Founder

Sophokles leads deal origination and investment decisions at ML Capital, maintaining relationships with European sales agents and distributors and overseeing portfolio construction and counterparty diligence.

His three decades in entertainment finance include serving as Global Head of Cinema at Red Bull Media House (2011–2013), deploying approximately €150 million per year, and co-leading structured financing at Greenlight Media AG (1997–2008) alongside ML Capital's current CFO Dieter Pichlbauer.

As an independent producer he has delivered 18 film and TV productions with aggregate budgets above €100 million, distributed across more than 40 territories with counterparts including Disney, Lionsgate, Gaumont, Wild Bunch and IMAX, and generating approximately €500 million in cumulative revenue.

Stephan Lindow

Stephan leads ML Capital's operational framework and portfolio risk management, bringing more than 25 years of institutional fund management experience across €2.27 billion in assets. He oversees fund operations, LP reporting and portfolio monitoring, with deep expertise in distressed-asset recovery and financial restructuring.

As Head of Recovery Management for six PREPS mezzanine funds (2004–2007), he managed €2.1 billion across 297 portfolio companies in the DACH region. As Investment Director and Partner at IMH Venture Capital (1998–2003), he oversaw €163 million across 90 portfolio companies. Prior to ML Capital he served as Co-Chairman and Managing Partner at CorpRec Advisory AG (2006–2014) in Switzerland, specialising in distressed-asset management.

Dieter Pichlbauer

Chief Financial Officer

Dieter leads ML Capital's fund administration, LP reporting and financial operations, bringing over 25 years of institutional finance experience managing assets exceeding €650 million across multiple funds. He oversees fund accounting, regulatory compliance and the integration of government guarantees and subsidies into the fund's structured financing frameworks.

He served as Director of Finance at Greenlight Media AG (2002–2006) alongside ML Capital's current CEO Sophokles Tasioulis, managing fund administration for Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein's $90 million film fund. As Head of Investment Controlling at the Berlin Animation Fund (2001), he oversaw €89 million in structured financing across eight animated-series productions.

Eckhart Burgwedel

Eckhart Burgwedel

Chief Technology Officer · Co-Founder

Eckhart leads ML Capital's technology infrastructure and digital analytics platform, bringing over 25 years as a serial entrepreneur and technology executive. As CTO he oversees the proprietary analytics tools, AI-driven investment-assessment systems and digital portfolio-management platforms that underpin the fund's operational efficiency.

He co-founded and led Uberchord to a successful eight-figure exit to Duolingo, scaling the platform to over one million downloads and consistent 4.6/5 ratings across 150 countries. He previously co-founded dizmo AG (2012–2014), an IoT platform that raised over $8 million in institutional funding, as COO and Head of Product.
